I have all of these and just can never fly them haha. I always end up in the Fenix. That plane just has something about it.

BTW, isn't the sim really amazing now? Perfectly smooth, it's a real pleasure to fire it up. I can safely say I've never had such a smooth experience in any sim.

Yes I give the Sim an A+ now!

Flying a airliner for 2-3 hours is just dead boring to me.  I prefer hour hops (or less) in a semi fast GA like the Duke, Baron, TBM, Aerostar, even the RV8 from SWS is fun.  Plus you can explore far more airports in those little planes.  In an airliner you're almost always going to a huge class B primary airport (or occasionally a regional airport).

This speaks exactly for me.

From 2004 to 2019 I was as hardcore an airliner guy as they come.  All of the old favourites.  Then a combination of work and family reduced the length of my sim sessions.  At about that time I also bought the A2A Cherokee, 172 and 182 and that was it - I was hooked on GA and the ability to fly short to medium hops with lots of variety.   As of now, we've never had better options for complex GA addons, between the A2As, Black Squares, COWS, FSW and FSR.  I sometimes tell myself I'll fly a few legs in the Fenix but it just never happens! Far too tempting to get into the Comanche, set it all up realistically and blast off into the sky.    I find GA more visceral and exciting.   But I'm not suggesting airliner flying is boring. I had a blast when I used to spend 45 mins on the ground setting up the PMDG MD-11 to then fly a 10 hour flight on VATSIM or Radar Contact 😎 This was pre-Simbrief so the preflight segment could take quite some time!   I loved it.   I got my NPPL (equivalent of a Sports Pilot Licence in the US) in 2015, flying 'IRL'. I think that was also a big part of my full transition from airliner simming to 'complex' GA obsession 🙂
