I have a persistent problem.  The rudder axis (Winwing Rudder pedals) switches axes with the throttle quadrant.  There are no conflicts in the “profiles.”  Every time I load the aircraft, I have to reassign the Rudder to the Winwing device.  Any ideas as to why this is happening?  Thanks

P.S. The are also no assignments in fsuipc7.ini

I'm sorry, but I don't understand and I've never heard of anything like it. To be honest, it doesn't make any sense either, it seems impossible.

How does this effect manifest itself exactly, what does it look like? What TQ is that? What axis are you using on the input side and which events or variables have been assigned in AAO to both? What does "trade places" mean, is the input swapped (= a different input device is controlling the same axis) or is this on the output side of things (which would mean that the same assignment is sending a different event??)

Thanks--I will forward a screen shot shortly-What I mean is that I boot up the aircraft and AXOs--the aircraft profile has both axes (L,R Brakes, Rudder, Spoiler) and buttons.  If I double click on the Axis Rudder Set (AXOs) it shows the Rudder Axis is assignment to the PFC Throttle Quadrant!  I have to reassign (every time) to the WinWing Rudder (Orion)--I appreciate your help

When you doubleclick an entry it will immediately pick up whatever input axis is currently firing. Are you sure that you aren't just seeing this effect? You can lock the controls against accidental changes in the "Hardware" menu.

Also, could this be a linked template that you cannot change just like that? Can you create completely new assignments (to anything, doesn't matter) and are they saved correctly, do they load after a restart? Did you try deleting the offending assignment and creating it again from scratch?

Thanks for the suggestions--I am unable to upload the screenshots (from an URL)--FWIW I do see that the assigned has changed--I will create a new template before the next flight

Aircraft configuration and template are not the same thing. Be sure that you know which is which and what their respective purpose is. Normal AAO operations don't require the use of templates.
