Avsim do not process my personal info options

Featured Replies

If this is in the wrong forum, I am sorry, I wasn't sure where to put it.

When I come to avsim now a pop up (or whatever you call it) comes up asking me if I want to opt out of things. The title of the pop up is "AVSIM - Do Not Process My Personal Information". First, why am I getting this? and second, I cannot change any of the options in the opt out survey. And I get this survey thing EVERY TIME I COME TO AVSIM NOW! Can I only do it once?

I've seen it and made the changes!  I have also seen it pop up one more time.  Don't know if it's
something new in the software or not!  Will investigate.

The Boss said "It's standard boilerplate fare in the forum software.  We do not, and never have, sold or otherwise distributed user data."

Unknown why it may be a constant annoyance to your computer.  Hopefully, if it gives you a chance to activate
the sliders, it will go away permanently.  Maybe try clearing cookies and re-logon to the site.

Also, see his note on the AVSIM front page!

Newest Update:  Going to the File Library site without being signed into the Forum site allowed
me to hit "Confirm" to make the pop-up disappear!  😵‍💫

  • 2 weeks later...

I'm getting this popup on every page I navigate to on AVSIM ... and I do mean every page (not just the library).  Make sure you disable any popup blockers in order to see the issue:

You did hit "Confirm" when the first one popped up?
