How to get .pln into .lnmpln format?

Featured Replies

For some reason my Little NavMap won't recognize .pln format flight plans when I try to import them into Little NavMap.

Is there any way I can convert the .pln to .lnmpln, inside Little NavMap, or outside of it?

Thanks

Trying😃

Haven't quite managed to copy it across yet.

By Contents do you mean the waypoints?

I need the file or the contents of the file since I suspect the file is broken. PLN is just a text format. Copy it or drag the file into a text editor the and paste it here as described in my link above.

What kind of PLN is this anyway? FSX? MSFS 2020? MSFS 2024?
What program did save the file? A simulator? Another tool? LNM?

Alex

After loading it - You can also save it as an FS2024 pln file.

Use the menu "Export Flight Plan as MSFS 2024 PLN ...".

Shortcut is CTL Shift F

Thanks Alex.

I'm in the middle of changing up PC's so it will be a day or 2 before I get back to it as I am waiting for cables for the new set up & then have to pull a couple of SSD's from the old PC.

The .pln's are MSFS 2024 & they mainly came from Discord flight group pages.

Ok. Take your time.
Either there is a bug in the plans and/or I have to make LNM more tolerant when reading plans.

Ok Alex, I think I have figured it out.

In setting up my new PC I downloaded LNM64 and worked through the various set up pages. One of them had, from memory , 4 checkboxes , to do with which flight sim it was going to be used with.

The first box I ticked said use the .lnpln format with MSFS2024 & something else. [Sorry, my memory is rough], but the 2nd or 3rd box to tick was for using .pln format with MSFS , & I ticked that too, & later tested it by opening a .pln in LNM, & it worked fine.

So, I suspect when I loaded LNM on my old PC I didn't tick the 2nd box to tell LNM to allow .pln format maps to open.

Thanks for your help

Strange. LNM can always load PLN files. This cannot be disabled.

Anyway, glad it's working now.🙃
