March 5Mar 5 Having spent a wasted 2hrs trying to find how to remove the covers on the B390 I give up and ask this forum for help. I'm still using MSFS 2020 via Steam (the sim on C : and packages and cache on D : ) i cannot locate the user manuals either. If I start in operational mode at end of runway then all is fine. But when I start cold&dark on the ramp the covers are all on and I can't get the buggers off. Or do I have to upgrade to 2024 ?

Yes, all is fine as I've also started on the runway last couple of times. However, I do recall starting it at the gate, Cold & Dark, when I initially got it. I just now gave a quick try at the gate again. At least, I'm able to remove the Fuselage Covers, Engine Covers, and Chocks etc. (see images below). Do you not see the Tool Tips (and blue highlights) for them, as in my images below, so you can click to remove them? Again, I'm on MSFS2024. Did you read somewhere that it does not work in MSFS2020 but works in MSFS2024? I would not think so, but I'm not sure...
March 6Mar 6 Author Unfortunately I already tried that. There are no blue highlights on my MSFS 2020 version.
March 6Mar 6 Oh …That’s a bummer… BTW, I had got this one back in Nov/Dec 2025, not long after it had appeared in the Marketplace. I recall, at that time, it was exclusively marketed as an MSFS2024 product. I see reports that since then, it has been also made available for (or/and indicated to be compatible with) MSFS2020. Creating an a/c natively in MSFS2024 first, and then making it backward compatible with MSFS2020, seems a bit unusual. Moreover, indeed, MSFS2020 users have reported (additional) issues with this a/c in MSFS2020, is what I gather. So, yes, if you are considering migrating to MSFS2024 and would like to fly this one, then upgrading to MSFS2024 is a good idea, where you’ll have also access to other (native) MSFS2024 a/c, many of which I own myself. Like I said, it’s a fun little a/c that I’ve enjoyed in my 2-3 outings with it in MSFS2024. You can look for my post(s) in the Screenshots Forum. Again, the last couple of times, I’d started it on the runway. You may also contact Carenado support, but, TBH, I would not expect such issues to be fixed in MSFS2020, soon enough for you. Cheers…!
March 7Mar 7 The covers thing may be an MSFS2024 feature that is not compatible with 2020. I had a similar issue with the SR22 in 2024 - a hassle until I was able to locate the clickspots to remove the covers during walk around. In MSFS2024 there is also a Quick Preflight command that removes the covers - by default mapped to ALT+Q although this does not work on my system. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."
