I performed some Functional Evaluation tests in the Felis 747, including Stall Tests, Alternate gear and flap extension, hydraulics, jettison and engine relights!

Learning to fly gliders since 1980

Stopped using flightsims for good since early August 2026, after 34 yrs using some really great specimens... If I'm asked to name the preferred one, after all these years, MSFS 2024 is my answer without hesitation.

(No desktop :-// after the last one crashed for good, so no simming, but I keep polling AVSIM - my main ludic activities spot since around 2006...)

I was enjoyable to watch. It was very objective and to the point. Nothing to the distract from the mission. All points were covered nicely.

It was a bit deceptive to learn the stick shaker doesn't kick in when the stall onset is reached in landing conf 😕

This and a few more not so positive details...

Wow, very kind of you to say! I got inspired to do this having watched the Airborne Express DC-8 Air Crash Episode where they were conducting the FEF. Rip to all on board.

Yeah, that was indeed strange. The 747 does have a very powerful high lift system, but to start dropping 500 fpm in a nose up attitude with no stick shaker is strange.
