March 18Mar 18 I always think the water color is too blue in MSFS2024. Rivers and lakes in England shouldn't be a blue color all the time. The English channel looks too blue. Is there any way to make some of the water a more green color as in real life, or are we stuck with false looking water colors? Thanks! Harry.
March 18Mar 18 If you fly under cloud cover, you will find that the water colour in Europe and the UK looks a bit more natural. Yes it is much to blue in some places at times and around the UK, the water is a muddy brown in most places mostof the time, but still too blue in MSFS2024. It has been slowly improving over time though. March 18Mar 18 Agreed, seas and oceans are a bit too uniformly blue. I do have some optimism for the future though as inland waters in 2024 have shown some signs of quite significant advances. Unfortunately they’re not consistent and many waterways are still the default blue, but I’ve seen many other colours in rivers and lakes on my travels in 2024. Also, no more OSM straight line rivers. As a side note, if you want a really good depiction of the water in the English Channel, try IL2 Cliffs of Dover. I’m not really interested in war sims anymore, but that one really did nail the look of the waters in the Solent. i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea
March 19Mar 19 Water is different in some parts of the world. I noticed when flying in China recently that a lot of the rivers are actually green rather than blue - I'm guessing that MSFS2024 is recreating how poluted they are (unless someone can suggest another reason).
