XP11 Slow motion when landing

Featured Replies

Hi. I run xp12 on my main pc at home. Its brilliant. When travelling, i use an older semi- decent laptop (Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1135G7 @ 2.40GHz (2.42 GHz)RAM12,0 GB  Intel Iris XE graphics)
with XP11 installed, and i get around 20fps in cockpit when flying, mid range settings. (Zibo 737) Its not wonderful, but i get to fly! However with landing i find the sim slows down to almost slow motion replay mode when landing, which sort of kills the fun after a decent flight. Is there a fix, or a setting im missing somewhere, or is it just that the laptop specs are just too underpar?

Zoom factor will play a roll in that regard unless you are referring to flickers/stutters due to frame rate loss. If your setup runs slower at these times due to demand, you can remove items from XP12 like vehicular traffic from the streets, remove airport vehicles as well as AI aircraft.

Thanks Mike, trust me i have removed everything except the flight controls! I am literally running bear bones vanilla but i guess the laptop is not going to cut it. If i reduce the settings anymore it looks like a video game from 1980.

It's the laptop. I remember using XP11 on one with a GTX960 (which is still magnitudes faster than a semi-current iGPU) and it wasn't fun at all.

Using Zibo's 737 on your hardware also does not help and most other complex aircraft won't fare much better. Maybe just confine yourself to simpler models like the default fleet or GA aircraft.
