iFly B737 Max 8 frame rate issues

Featured Replies

Are any of you having low frame rate issues with the iFly B737 Max 8 in 2024? I loaded a flight at CYWG and initially the frame rates were fine. I was running Navigraph charts, Active Sky FS, Vpilot, SimAppPro, and Mobiflight, as I always do for every flight. As soon as I started taxing, the frame rates started dropping off and were down to about 15 FPS from the initial 58 by the time I reached the runway. I also ran Windows + G and saw that the CPU, GPU, Ram and Vram loads were all low. I'm using the NVIDIA 595.79 Studio Driver. I changed the graphics settings on the fly and tried several different combinations, but nothing really made any difference. I have very high-end hardware including a 5090 graphics card. I then loaded the PMDG 737-900 and it ran very smoothly at 60 FPS in the exact same scenario for the entire flight. I don't use DLSS or frame gen and I don't use any external FPS programs. So, again, are any of you guys seeing the same thing? Thanks.

Never a hint of low frame rate issues with the IFly Max 8 either at departures nor arrivals.  You have a couple apps running that I don't, and we have different CPU and you have a stronger GPU.  I am always running BATC, Self Loading Cargo, LiveATC.net and often Spotify.  I'm using the latest Game Ready driver, and prior versions were fine as well.  I did uninstall the Nvidia app as it did have some negative impact on frame time variance but that was with all planes I use and it didn't affect frame rate per se.   Might it be worth it to uninstall/reinstall the Max?   On your NV driver installs do you use DDU or something like it?   I do, FWIW.  Good luck and you can rest assured it DOES run well for some, so should for you when you discover the cure.
