FS2004 unable to save flight

Featured Replies

Hello again Wobbie (& All:-)

Your are quite right - FS9/2004 DOES indeed run very well on Modern/Updated Computer, thanks for the Info (I will send you a personal message with details)  For info of All - I was working on Duff information previously BUT from a Professional  Flight Sim building Company otherwise I wouldn't have acted upon their advice. Just goes to show -  Check on AVSIM first!! Thanks again.

Hi all

have sorted out the problem although it was a bit of a copout way. I suddenly thought today, what about a system restore to an earlier date before this problem occurred. So I did that and all now saving/loading/ flight planning great. makes me realise the importance of restore points. Everyone go create on today!

Still do not know what it was I did and also have found out that the Flight Simulator Files folder is Read Only but it works ok - in windows 10.

a big sigh of relief as it was a bit of a pain having to create a flight each time I wanted to go into fs9.

Thanks again for your info etc.

Sometimes, Files or folders get 'Read Only' if the sim is installed in it's default folder.

If installed anywhere else, things should be OK.

'Shrug'!! Windows 10 & 11 can cause a hair pulling out session. A Scotch normally helps.🍻
