HJG 26th Anniversary - Big "LITTLE BOEING" Release

HJG 26th Anniversary - Big "LITTLE BOEING" Release

Few might have been aware .... but .... "APRIL 9TH" represented a date of major historic significance on the real world aviation calendar. On this particular date .... back in 1967 .... the B737 (in SERIES 100 form) first flew and what's since become a civil aviation legend was then born.

As a matter of pure co-incidence this date also marked HJG's (HISTORIC JETLINERS GROUP) 26th anniversary of service to the international FS community too.

Therefore on "APRIL 9TH" HJG was proud to announce introduction of the "B737-100" as an extension to its established virtual B737 ORIGINAL's and CLASSIC's flight line .... this particular HJG release having been "intentionally planned" to coincide with the date of both events.

This release not only see's "quality freeware B737-100 models" becoming available for FS9 and FSX for the very first time .... but .... also includes "PART 1" of a 2-part complete upgrade of HJG's SEP 2023 established B737-200 flight line too.

HJG have the efforts of highly-talented 3D modeler Erick CANTU to thank for this "NEW AND EXPANDED" product line.

These new B737 offerings aren't further iterations of Erick's original FFX and VISTALINER models (first produced during the early 2000's), but rather, each represent "ENTIRELY NEW AND FAR SUPERIOR" compilations .... among which a multiplicity of different aircraft configurations have been applied .... and which are supported by a selection of some 23X high-quality textures representing historic airline/operator liveries produced especially for these same "NEW" models by the equally highly-talented HJG painting team.

HJG expresses its sincere thanks and appreciation to Erick CANTU for what he's labored to produce, for HJG to host, and offer for enjoyment of the international FS community .... "THANK YOU ERICK" 😉

These 26th anniversary offerings are HJG's first for 2026 .... this particular release being composed of a total of some 109X "NEW" and upgraded files for its virtual B727-100, B737-100/200/300/400, CV990-A, DC-8-30/50/61/62/63/72/73, DC-9-20/30/40, DC-10-30, COMET IXB, and MD-81/82/83 flight line. The textures component alone of this latest HJG release represents an impressive assortment of both classic and modern liveries" which might otherwise best be described as "a colourful league of nations if not a reflection upon both time and aviation history" .... among which scheduled, charter, freight, and military service aircraft/operators are each represented by definitive, hybrid, and celebratory liveries from the 1950's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's until relatively recent times .... and among which a small number of retro-type "FANTASY" liveries are also included too.

For further information concerning these latest HJG offerings refer to the groups following "APR 9TH 2025" forum announcement .....

All this .... and a great deal more .... is available for "FREE" download from the HJG website located at the following address ....

Thank you Mark! Somehow I can't find either the 737-100 or the -200 one in the Downloads section. I can only see from the -300 on.

For reasons beyond HJG's control (staff resource primarily) since APR 2023 all new release HJG files must be download per links provided within the actual forum announcements ....

APR 9 2026 RELEASES

https://tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/10810/hjg-files-releases-april-2026

APR 30 2026 RELEASES

https://tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/10824/files-releases-april-30th-2026

Download links for all of these files are then much later (after a few months/despues algunas meses) transferred to our complete forum downloads section ....

HJG LATEST FILE RELEASES (forum downloads section)

https://tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/board/40/hjg-latest-file-releases

Download links for all files released before/antes APR 2023 remain within the official Downloads section of the HJG website .... but "updated" version of some of these files are more recently available within the  above-linked HJG LATEST FILE RELEASES (forum downloads section).

This is not the best system, but, it's simply the result of circumstance beyond our control and is the only way we can continue to operate (since APR 2023). It's  a very easy system to used once it's understood and one becomes "adapted to it". If you experience any problems/difficulties .... then "see me" at HJG (but you'll need to register and post on the HJG forum .... because we don't provide support on exterior forums) and I'll be happy to try to help you out .... con mucho gusto 😉
