  1. Again I don't want to bother Bob/AVSIM Admin with another HJG specific PR whilst this one from May is still prominently visible (any problems Bob just drop me a PM) ;) Just want to advise though .... the HJG website was updated again yesterday with another 66X new files covering the B727-100/200, B737-300/400/500, BAC ONE-ELEVEN 400/500 (DMFS), DC-9-10/40/50, DC-10-10CF/F (MD-10F), HS121 TRIDENT 1/2E (DMFS), L-1011 TRISTAR 1, and MD-82. All freely available .... as per the following linked announcement .... https://tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/10216/hjg-website-update-november-2022
  2. I don't want to bother the AVSIM Admin team with yet another HJG PR whilst this last one, from 3 months ago, is still conspicuous (no desire to monopolize the visable commmunity news space more than necessary) .... but for whatever it's worth HJG have, today, just released another 76X new textures for the B727, B737, BAC ONE-ELEVEN, BAe 146, DC-8, DC-9, DC-10, DH COMET, L-1011 TRISTAR, and MD-90 models it hosts .... https://tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/10190/website-update-august-25th-2022?page=1&scrollTo=71291
  3. A small number of "upgraded/further improved" files were released by HJG yesterday .... July 29th 2022. These may viewed per the following link .... https://tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/10178/mini-website-update-july-28th
  4. Glad you're obviously enjoying the MERCURE 100 .... it is indeed very technically inclined simulation of a unique/rare airliner. 2 separate versions of it are offered .... one specifically for FS9 use only .... and the other for specifically FSX use only. P3DV4 portability (I won't say compatibility) is "a surprise" because AFAIK such was "unintended" .... so I reserve my commentary in regard to P3D and more-so since HJG can't provide P3D support. Important to credit this MERCURE 100 simulation to "Mario NORIEGA" .... and not HJG :) HJG did assist Mario with some elements of this/his simulation (namely FDE, sound, and WX Radar), but, it's otherwise "entirely Mario's simulation" .... and which HJG hosts for him and by consent 😉
  5. That's "not" entirely correct. Some HJG simulations may (possibly) still work in FS2002, but, others (be their panels/gauges/modules and/or textures) "most certainly won't". Just to clarify these FS related compatibilities .... HJG simulations are FS2004 "native" with most also now being FSX "portable" .... as per the following-linked list .... https://tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/8910/fsx-compatible-portable In any case HJG "does not" now provide FS2002 support. I was also recently informed "some of" (not all of) the HJG simulations may in fact be P3D "V3" (only .... definitely not V4 or later though) portable too, but, not yet having seen evidence of, or being able to properly assess this "for myself", I say such "WITH RESERVATION".
  6. That's correct. HJG is an FS2004 hangar ... with most of it offering also being FSX portable also.
  7. For those interested .... HJG have just (today/as of a few minutes ago) added another 12X textures to their December/Christmas 2019 release .... featuring an assortment of "new" B707, B727, DC-8, DC-9, and MD-80 textures which didn't make the groups large release of "DECEMBER 14TH". For further information refer to the following HJG website announcement .... http://tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/9614/website-update-december-29th-2019 MRC HJG
  8. All files are FS9 compatible .... with FSX portability too .... as stated within the release announcement
  9. Time and opportunity have been in HJG's favor lately .... and it's for this reason the group's been able to add the following additional textures for its "NEW" B737-300/400/500 project since it was recently realeased for Christmas .... B737-300 - ADAM AIR 2007 - CANADIAN NOTHY (CFK logo jet hybrid) 2015 - DELTA AIR LINES 1987 B737-500 - SKYSERVICE 2017 - TURKISH AIRLINES 2002 For more informationm concerning these latest and additional texture releases .... and groups "NEW" HJG B737-300/400/500 project generally .... along with its "NEW" and recently released MERCURE 100 project (by NOrIEGA DESIGNS) also .... kindly refer to the following HJG forum linked announcement/s http://tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/8796/hjg-website-update-december-2017?page=3&scrollTo=60322 Mark C HJG AKL/NZ & BOG/CO
  10. HJG are predominantly an FS2004 based website though most of it's products (barring a few) are FSX portable, but, it does not design for the P3D platform. In the case of these new B733/4/5 models they are indeed FSX portable but their forward air stairs animation (based on the FS2004 CONCORDE visor commands .... which are different in FSX) will not work in FSX. This (and a great deal more) is actually covered within the groups forum based online manual for these new B733/4/5 simulations ;)
  11. HJG (Historic Jetliners Group) have announced their December/Christmas website update .... the groups 11th during this 2016 year. Featured within this update is Benoit PLAMONDON´s newest audio project .... composed of 22 "EXTREMLY HIGH QUALITY" DC-8 soundpacks .... recreating the voice of the DC-8 through all of its various marques .... b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l-l-y recapturing the clssic startup "howl" and unsupressed "roar" of the earliest P&W turbojet powered DC-8´s, the unique "scream" of the first RR fanjet powered DC-8-40´s and loud "rasp" of the later P&W fanjet pòwered DC-8-50´s and -60´s, along with the unmistakeable modern turbine "growl" of the CFM re-engined SUPER 70´s DC-8´s also .... each meticulously fine-tuned so as to positively assault ones senses and to the extent that the only missing ingredients are the smell of jet fuel and the feel of warm engine jet blast air Here are some audio-visual presentations of these superb new soundpacks :- DC-8-10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kd82bTHiFp0 DC-8-30 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYJfu_t_7ZE DC-8-40 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HjzZB93n6XE DC-8-50 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VtT9Zb1xvS0 DC-8-60 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=udhAt-vqZBE DC-8-70 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LnALBs9FPU Each of these new soundpacks have been released as separate FS2004 and FSX specific audio .... the FSX version of these new soundpacks taking advantage of the superior audio engine provided within this particular FS version. Also accompanying this HJG DC-8 audio upgrade is an enhanced "DC-8 PANEL GAUGES/CORE FILES" package .... "VERSION 1.5" .... for use with HJG´s entire range of 15 DC-8 panels. Both this enhanced file, the panels, along with each of these new soundpacks too, are designed to interact with one-another so as to generate a truly impressive, as well as very authentic, DC-8 audio experience .... the like of which has not previously been developed for FS and will possibly remain unsurpassed for quite some time to come. AND THAT´S NOT ALL .... Just added to HJG´s already extensive, and constantly explanding, flightline are new textures .... featuring both the late 1980´s and current identity of a Canadian PAX/freight operator for the B727-200, -200 ADV, and -200 ADV WL .... DC-8-50 liveries for 2 long-gone Canadian tourist charter operators of the late 1980´s/early 1990´s .... and a selection of colour schemes representing Eastern European, Italian, Spanish, and Nordic operators of MD-80/90 aircraft covering the late 1990´s era until relatively recent times. For further information concerning these latest HJG releases please refer to the above-linked audio-visual presentations .... and the following HJG forum announcement :- http://tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/8385/website-update-19th-december-2016?page=1 BUT STILL .... THERE´s MORE .... Since July HJG have released 4 other web site updates which (due to the imposition of personal time restrictions) have "NOT" been publicly announced beyond the HJG forum. These updates have seen the release of an extensive number of new textures for HJG´s B707, B727, B717-200, cARAVELLE, DC-10, and MD-80 simulations .... featuring new textures representing the identities of operators from all 4 corners of the globe .... among which both past, present, and any number of lesser/known as well as interesting hybrid liveries are included. For further information regarding these pevious updrte please refer to the following-linked HJG forum announcements :- July (X2) http://tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/8190/website-update-12th-july-2016 http://tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/8197/website-update-18th-july-2016 August http://tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/8210/hjg-website-update-august-2016 September http://tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/8271/website-update-26th-sept-2016 November http://tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/8353/website-update-15th-november-2016 HJG also take this opportunity to remind folk in regard to its following recent major developments and releases of earlier this year :- 1. During March the entire HJG DC-8 flightline was re-released (the first stage of todays DC-8 audio update), and further expanded, supported by new/superior FDE files .... and also including new DC-8-20F/-30F/and -40F models featuring animated cargo doors .... http://tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/8018/hjg-website-update-march-2016 2. New and "EXTREMLY HIGH QUALITY" B727 soundpacks were also released during March (another project by Benoit PLAMONDON) .... again featuring separate FS2004 and FSX-specific P&W JT8D-7, P&W JT8D-9, and P&W JT8D-17 audio .... along with a separate and equally impressive AI-specific audio project especially for the B727 and FSX use. A new B727 PANEL GAUGES/CORE FILES package .... "VERSION 2.2" .... featuring further enhanced panel/gauge audio for each of HJG's current range of 11 B727 panels was also released during March and which is intended to be used in conjunction with HJG´s B727 aircraft base packs, panels, and these new soundpacks also .... http://tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/thread/8017/hjg-website-update-march-2016 For further Information concerning each of these earlier developments please refer to the above-linked HJG forum announcements following each statement.
