Zibomod rain droplet size

Featured Replies

Hi Everybody,

Last item to look at for the 3D rain effect in Zibomod is the droplet size, zibo seems to have locked it at .05 somewhere in the plugins folder as my exterior side views with no plugins don't have the resize issue.

I tried the following but it doesn't work, even tried do_often. Even tried to reduce the rain scale in the rain obj file but no luck.

dataref("rain_scale", "sim/private/controls/rain/scale", "writable")
do_sometimes("rain_scale = 0.15")

Last item standing in the way of some great 3D rain effect in XP12!

Alter the value of the "RAIN_scale" line in "B737-800X/objects/rain_glass.obj".

I'll give that another try, didn't work the first time, but I am using rain_glass1.obj for my custom rain effects. Maybe I have to change both.

Thanks!

Since I don't have rain_glass1 .obj in my "objects" folder, could it be that this is a backup?

In any case, the file that is actively used by the aircraft can be easily determined by searching any of the 738's ACF files for "rain_glass".

I believe I was working the wrong file, this looks good now!

Thanks
