Saturday at 01:51 PM3 days I use FS 2024 and have various GF GF-166, MESM, P8, GP48, GF46. The main problem is the TQ6 is jittery. I always calibrate when I start, but it eventually starts jittery again.I've tried Lorby Axis and Ohs, but the jittery is so bad that it reassigns to something else right after I assign making it nearly impossible to save.I tried Polypot, but that it is time consuming and confusing. It seemed laggy too.Is there another or newer application? 10700k / Gigabyte 3060
Sunday at 02:35 AM2 days Why not try using some electrical contact cleaner on the pots. It comes in spray form, so it will reach the insides of the pots. Jittery pots are a sign of mechanical wear or electrical corrosion. It's a temporary fix, and the way these quadrants were assembled, changing pots is almost impossible.
Sunday at 10:23 AM2 days Moderator @bic , how old is your TQ6? If many years then despite the quality of the unit if they used pots then they don't last forever. As flyforever suggests they're not easy to access. You can live with it or perhaps invest in a new TQ. I'm using the Fulcrum TQ which has magnetic sensors and doesn't have any wear issues.https://www.fulcrumsim.com/product/fulcrum-throttle/Ignore the out of stock notice. Chris builds them to order. Sunday at 11:29 AM2 days Author I don't remember when I bought this, but it was about 2 years after the initial release. I never try to buy version 1.0 of anything.I finally had some a bit of time to fuss. It turns out using FS for settings is slightly better with dealing with the jitters. Sunday at 12:45 PM2 days Moderator @bic , the original was released mid 2000s, the advanced 2012.If the original then it’s 20 years old. Testament to its quality. What port do you have it connected to? If a USB3 then try a USB2 if available. All my GF units - GF166, T8, P8, GF-LGT, MCP Pro are connected to a powered USB2 hub connected via a cheap Chinese expansion port plugged into a USB2 header on the mobo. All work perfectly. What a pity GoFlight didn’t survive the pandemic. 😢 Ray (Cheshire, England).
