FS9 running, but not running?

Featured Replies

Hey fellow simmers! I've had this issue before but for the life of me can't remember how I fixed it. My FS9 runs fine, doesn't crash hardly ever. But any time I try to connect any peripheral software, like AI Separation, or weather programs, those programs say that FS9 is not running. I have done the registry repair, I have deleted all references to fs9 from the registry and did a clean install. I have tried various combinations of compatibility modes, but all to no avail. Any insights on what I may be missing? thanks

You may not have installed the FSUIPC module, but external programs require it to be installed.

What version of Windows are you using?

I've found the older "Registry Repair" fix to not work with W10 Pro 64-bit.

I figured a work-around for my installation, but I don't know if it's relevant to any other version.

Try running the peripheral software as administrator.

Windows 11. What was the workaround you found?

BINGO! Thanks. Except I did install FSUIPC, but when I checked the FSUIPC.dll was missing for some reason. The other fsuipc files were there however. Problem solved! Thanks flightsim community!
