DC-3 model for FS2004 with floats
It seems that you did not correctly edit the [EFFECTS] section in the aircraft.cfg file. [EFFECTS] wake= fx_R4D_Wake water= fx_R4D_Splay_2 dirt= fx_R4D_Dusty_3 concrete= fx_AI_floatplane_spray-and-wake //fx_R4D_Belly_Sparks startup= fx_R4D_Cranky_Old_Bird_2 //touchdown= fx_R4D_Tire_Mark, 1 contrail= fx_R4D_Sky_Trail

The spark effect will definitely disappear and be replaced by water spray if you download the file fx_AI_floatplane_spray-and-wake.fx from the link in my previous post and place it in the /EFFECTS folder of your simulator.

FS9 running, but not running?
You may not have installed the FSUIPC module, but external programs require it to be installed.

To get rid of the sparks, you need to edit the aircraft.cfg file. [EFFECTS] wake= fx_R4D_Wake water= fx_R4D_Splay_2 dirt= fx_R4D_Dusty_3 concrete= fx_AI_floatplane_spray-and-wake //fx_R4D_Belly_Sparks startup= fx_R4D_Cranky_Old_Bird_2 //touchdown= fx_R4D_Tire_Mark, 1 contrail= fx_R4D_Sky_TrailI interactively intervene in traffic operations not only to extend the landing gear during the final stage of landing. I use the “Set Flight Plan...” command and route traffic along any of the most intricate flight plans created for the user's aircraft. (*.PLN) fx_AI_float...

Thank you for the heads-up, but I'm using them as floating aircraft. Of course, I've made some adjustments to the [contact_points] sections in their aircraft.cfg files. And I have to manually issue the KEY_GEAR_UP command to them in Traffic Toolbox Explorer. Video

Using the XC-47C in traffic doesn't require the paid MAAM model. The amphibious version uses the paid model's panel links and sounds. However, traffic doesn't use the panel, and the default sounds are used.

Peace and good health, everyone! Does anyone happen to have a DC-3 model for FS2004 with floats (not an amphibious version)? I want to use it for hydro-traffic.

avsimrus web site dead ?
The website https://www.avsimsu.com/ is functioning normally. There was a roughly 12-hour outage due to maintenance work. Everything is now working, and the search function in the “Files” section has been restored.

AI Malcontent DC-10 not showing up
To edit the radii of AI aircraft parking spots, I use the good old AFCAD. Check your aircraft using its built-in aircraft editor.
