  1. Thanks for the replies. It was a simple solution. The Alpha Channel was a black square. Changing it to white gets rid of the transparent aluminum and restores visibility.
  2. Yeah, it did give me a offensive initials not allowed moment...comical looking to say the least. I substituted an ATI texture for the Burlington and it works fine. So I guess a texture problem but doesn't that usually return a solid white a/c? Transparent aluminum...something out of StarTrek I guess. Not spending too much time with this, the ATI can fill the slot as far as I'm concerned.
  3. Noticed a shadow of a DC-8 taxiing at KTOL and determined it was a AIA_DC8_71 textured as the DC-8-71F Burlington Air Express N820BX". Checked the textures and tried the default and the 32bit ver. supplied. Both show up in DXT bmp looking OK, but in the sim just the shadow appears. New one on me...any ideas as what the problem is and solution?
  4. OK, fyi, for the Niiranen & Niccolai PDX scenery above, you can eliminate the trees you referenced (and some default bldgs also) by using ADE9 to put an exclusion over the whole airport. If you do not use ADE9 message me and I will send you the AFCAD that does this, if you prefer to use this version of PDX Steve
  5. I think this might be the other scenery you were referring to... FS2004 Scenery–Portland Int’l Airport (KPDX), Oregon (OR). Portland 2004 version 2 scenery is of Portland International Airport and downtown Portland, Oregon USA. Formerly payware. By Andrew Niiranen and Bob Niccolai. 3.7 Mb https://www.fs2000.org/2008/01/01/fs2004-scenery-portland-intl-airport/
  6. Flight plans are kept in a file in your Documents folder named Flight Simulator Files. Have you checked to see if that folder exists? If not, try creating it and placing your flight plans in it.
  7. Umberto, Thanks for trying to help. KLAX V2 is the only FSDT airport that stays activated. I have to reactivate every other scenery every time I start FS. Anyway, I again dl'd and installed the latest addon mgr linked in your reply. In trying to reactivate KORD for example, I still end up at an Esellerate menu asking for activation key after clicking yes and continue at all the prompts and upon entering the serial number it returns invalid entry. These older sceneries have serial numbers which are different than the activation number that came with KLAX V2.) Does that make a difference? And why does the process still take me to an Esellerate box?
  8. I downloaded and installed the scenery and then compared it to my existing version. It was the same one. So I don't know why it didn't work. OK, Make sure to select the link for the airport below the download button for the photoscenery. – FS2004 Scenery–Christchurch Int’l Airport Some downloads do not work, but this one still does.
  9. I downloaded and installed the scenery and then compared it to my existing version. It was the same one. So I don't know why it didn't work.
  10. Start FS9 in Windows mode, select Addon Manager and then FSDreamTeam. Select scenery from menu and select Register Serial. Make sure your serial is shown in the box. If it is, then I don't know what else to try.
  11. Might try this, not ideal, and kind of a pain but it works for me: After replying "Yes" to do you want to activate it now.... Wait, wait, and wait some more until a Product Activation Box appears Choose "Offline" Next prompt Choose "Cancel" Here I get the message that the airport has been successfully activated. Choose OK It says something about it has backed up the registries somewhere, but that seems to help nothing as you have to repeat this routine for any and all airports you wish to activate in this session and worse, you have to do it every time you restart FS9. But for now, this is the only way I can use their airports. Would love it if someone has a solution that will activate without having to repeat all of these steps like it worked in the past.
  12. This site has it: https://www.fs2000.org/2009/10/27/fs2004-nzch-photoreal-scenery/
  13. Did anyone use Windows 8? I upgraded out of curiosity and installed a Windows 7 start menu and interface but still reverted back to Win 7. Now it seems totally forgotten, and for all the right reasons.
  14. Guys, thank you so much for putting your talents together and bringing another superb airport scenery to FS9. Steve
  15. I picked up their recent Eppley (KOMA) and it is excellent also.
  16. I doubt there are any perfect solutions for KPHX, but I found setting the TMVL=19 eliminated a lot of the conflict, but it precluded the use of higher level mesh. To use the better mesh, I used ADE9x to make two flatten areas that resolved most of the conflicts with TMVL set at 21. Anyone is welcome to it by sending me a PM, but will probably need to edit some gate parking codes to match their AI parking preferences. Also, a few gate outlines disappeared under the slighly raised tarmac, but you can use EZ scenery to replace these if you desire.
  17. Thanks for the replies. Most of these are WoAI files. There's a copy of TTools is in there also along with an Aircraft folder containing WoAI, some PAI and other stuff installed by some addon sceneries. Well, the only thing I can think of is.... it may be part of the way Windows backs up files (user data) for its Restore function...sorta like how Windows will use the FS folders in its virtual store whenever for updates on scenery, etc.. I copied the mess of traffic.bgls over to the World/Scenery folder, overwriting the older files, and so far haven't seen any problems...yet.
  18. How does Windows/FS9 use the "User/ApplicationData/Microsoft/FS9" folder which contains a large number of traffic.bgl's. Some traffic.blg's that are located in this folder are not in my World/Scenery folder and vice versa, while most are contained in both. Shouldn't all traffic.blg files be located within the FS9 scenery folders?
  19. Are you running Vancouver Plus, by chance? I used to have to run the texture configurator to resolve CTD issues in that area. fwiw.
  20. Windows keeps updating my computer with KB3086255, so I tried the "other solution" for 9.1. I now get an OOM upon trying to start FS which I have never gotten before. Checked some causes for OOMs and tried the reco'd solutions, but no luck thus far. Any suggestions appreciated.
  21. Thanks, that's probably it. Did a HD change out earlier and must have forgotten the update on the reinstall.
  22. Upon starting FS, if I go to KMSP, CYWG, KGEG I am seeing summer textures and appropriate type of weather as I should. Without changing anything, just using the go to airport menu, if I then change to KRAP, KSLC, KBIL, I now see winter textures and snow falling. I don't understand why part of the country will show one season and another something else. Anybody know what is causing this?
  23. In the pdf, the author says to remove previous versions of my “Virtual YQR” and “Regina City” if you have those installed. I only had the previous CYQR airport installed so my guess would be to remove them.
  24. Would like to give a huge thanks to Greg Putz for his just released CYQR 2015 scenery. What an effort of love for his hometown airport and for the FS9 community to give us this airport. Phenomenal work, absolutely amazing, and I know I will be increasing my arrivals and departures at Regina. Many thanks!!
  25. Do a search for "library" in FS2004 scenery design section and it will llist the EZ scenery libraries. Then use scan mode to find those containing buildings.
