Hello, I am having major issues with FSDreamTeam on Windows 11. I believe I have followed the instructions on their website regarding FS9 and Windows 11, where I disabled the firewall, but I must be doing something wrong. After attempting to install and then trying to remove everything related to FSDreamTeam, I keep getting this message: The Product FSdreamteam - Chigago Ohare requieres Activation on this computer. Do you want to activate it now ? yes/no.

 

If I click "yes," absolutely nothing happens. Is there anyone who has clear instructions on what I can do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have activated it by turning of firewall but that doesnt work either

(It puzzles me that FSDreamTeam still sells products for FS9 when their support is non-existent. Why don’t they just release these old products, which I have already purchased?)

Might try this, not ideal, and kind of a pain but it works for me:

After replying "Yes" to do you want to activate it now....

Wait, wait, and wait some more until a 

Product Activation Box appears

Choose "Offline"

Next prompt Choose "Cancel"

Here I get the message that the airport has been successfully activated.

Choose OK

It says something  about it has backed up the registries somewhere, but that seems to help nothing as you have to repeat this routine for any and all airports you wish to activate in this session and worse, you have to do it every time you restart FS9.

But for now, this is the only way I can use their airports. 

Would love it if someone has a solution that will activate without having to repeat all of these steps like it worked in the past.
 

Just wondering if this is due to W11 "security".

Do you have FS2004 installed in the default "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\etc... " or is it in a location not "protected" by W11, eg. "C:\FlightSimulator\FS2004\..." ?

I don't use any of these sceneries, so I've no first-hand experience, but I've experienced similar symptoms with other sceneries.

Steve0606, unfortunately I cannot get it to work. At "cancel" nothing happens, and if I choose the other options it wont work either. 

at the FSdreamteam homepage all they say is: Disable AV and FW when adding FSDT sceneries  but again that doesnt work for me.

 

Chris_eve: I think it has to do with the way fsdreamteam has made it and it creates problems for (I guess) all users on w11. and yes, I am installed at "C:\FlightSimulator\FS2004\..."

Start FS9 in Windows mode, select Addon Manager and then FSDreamTeam.  Select scenery from menu and select Register Serial.  Make sure your serial is shown in the box. If it is, then I don't know what else to try.

It MUST be the LAST thing you install. If you reinstall a scenery, it will downgrade the software, so you must reinstall the Stand-alone Addon Manager again.

Without this, it would be impossible to reactivate, since the original installers used Esellerate activation, but Esellerate closed in 2019 (and its parent company Digital River bankrupted in 2025), so we switched to QLM/Soraco to provide the activation servers, but it requires the updated software.

Thanks for trying to help.

KLAX V2 is the only FSDT airport that stays activated. I  have to reactivate every other scenery every time I start FS. 

Anyway, I again dl'd and installed the latest addon mgr linked in your reply.  In trying to reactivate KORD for example, I still end up at an Esellerate menu asking for activation key after clicking yes and continue at all the prompts and upon entering the serial number it returns invalid entry. 

These older sceneries have serial numbers which are different  than the activation number that came with KLAX V2.)  Does that make a difference?  And why does the process still take me to an Esellerate box?

I have the same problem as Steve0606, but I can’t activate KLAX either. I’ve tried removing the Stand-Alone Addon Manager in order to reinstall it, but I simply can’t. I don’t know where it is located. I have removed everything related to FSDreamTeam and tried reinstalling from scratch.

I believe I have followed your instructions: disabling FW and AV, and reinstalling the Stand-Alone Addon Manager again every time I installed an airport, but unfortunately it still doesn’t work.

Even though I have removed everything related to FSDreamTeam, I still get this message:

“The Product FSDreamteam – Chicago O’Hare requires activation on this computer. Do you want to activate it now? Yes/No.”

What is it that I have NOT uninstalled?
