July 12Jul 12 Good evening,I have two problems with MCE and need advice.1) My FO often doesn't seem to know which frequency he needs to dial in. If I ask him to set ATIS, he asks for the frequency. Often also for delivery. Ground and tower often work, but in the air, and with FO handling the coms, it continues, albeit a little bit differently: We get a new frequency to contact, and FO acknowledges correctly. He then waits a second and contacts the next facility - but a lot of times without changing to the new frequency. I have checked the clearance.log, it's being created.2) The transmission sound (low/med/high) is sent to the wrong sound device. The voice is sent correctly to the device I have chosen and configured, but the transmission (background?) sound is also sent to the default output sound device.Kind regards,"Dieter" Edited July 12Jul 12 by d.tsakiris Best regards, Dimitrios 9950X3D - 64 GB - RX 7900 XTX - TrackIR - Power-LC M39 WQHD - Honeycomb Alpha yoke, Saitek pedals & throttles in a crummy home-cockpit - MSFS for props, P3D for jets
July 20Jul 20 Author A follow-up:1) On the last flight, most parts worked better. FO knew about ATIS, delivery and ground freqs. After handing over coms to him, he handled them almost flawlessly (which, when it works, is awesome!), only once "forgetting" to change frequency before contacting.I did come across a different issue: After approach gives the instruction to contact tower when established, the FO contacts tower immediately, which is too early.2) I changed the output sound device for MCE in the Windows settings, but it didn't help. Voices are correctly sent to my head-phones, the background noise comes from the default output device, a set of speakers Best regards, Dimitrios 9950X3D - 64 GB - RX 7900 XTX - TrackIR - Power-LC M39 WQHD - Honeycomb Alpha yoke, Saitek pedals & throttles in a crummy home-cockpit - MSFS for props, P3D for jets

The sound output is divided between speakers (engines, weather etc.) and a head-set (ATC, FO, instruments if possible). It's not the end of the world, but up until a few months ago it worked pretty well.On the last flight, I again had the problems only on approach (no freq change before, contacted tower too soon). The rest was flawless. Any ideas?
