Panel masking problems in FS2004

Recommended Posts

Hi; Does anyone know the general origin of panel masking/transparency problems with FS2004 panels and gauges? A number of my gauges exhibit black masked areas where transparency worked in FS2002. It's not a video card issue...I'm seeing the same thing on 4 different PCs with varied types of video. I'm sure other folks must be seeing this phenomenon...anyone have an idea what's behind it?CheersBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Washington, D.C.

Bob, It may be that the mask bitmap is not in a 1:1 scale with the rest of the instrument. FS04 seems to ignore ImageSizes="x,y,x2,y2". I made the mistake for FS02 to build my gauges on the stock 737 panel for testing. That panel is on a 0.625 ratio.. Bitmap 1024,768 panel size = 640,480. The bitmaps where resized to accomodate the stock 737 ratio, alas when 04 came out it was all gobbly-gook. Also I made some of the bitmaps overly large for resolution and used ImageSizes="x,y,x2,y2" to make them fit. Not good for 04. Regards,RomanGREEN BAY PACKERS][/i :-ukliam :-beerchug

Do we know if there is a rationale for ignoring ImageSizes= in FS9????This affected me, and I have only built two gauges in my life... Why the step backward...???Or is this just another bug?
