I can't seem to find a way - maybe there isn't one - to select an edge, and, for example, tell gmax to divide it into 4 equal segments...Is there a way to do this?thxAndrew

Hi Robert -Well, I'm actually interested in being able to tell gmax to -numerically- divide, such as entering a "5" to result in 5 equal segments... don't know if you can do that though.I'm planning on ordering that book next week!CheersAndrew

Andrew, try using the chamfer tool. Sadly, it only splits lines into 2, but if you do it again, and then once more, then weld it the extra, your sorted:P The number you use to make it work are the distances at which it will turn into 2 (the distance the two edges will be ppart from each other after) NOT the numer of lines you will end up with:(Hopefully you can use that to fix your problems:)
