Need help with panel editing!

Featured Replies

How do you edit panels in FS2004? When I had 2002, I used the aircraft editor, but 2004 doesn't come with one. Is there a program I can download to edit with?

Panel.cfg files are plain text - you can edit them with notepad. If you want something a little more sophisticated, go here:http://www.fspanelstudio.com/Worth every dime you will pay for it...Doug

If choose the plain text option, how do I know where the gauges will be positioned on the panel?

>If you want the FS2004 FSEdit, download the SDK from>http://www.microsoft.com/games/flightsimulator/ , downloads,>FS2004SDK.The only thing I've found FSEdit is at all useful for is to throughly trash perfectly good .air files... :)The Panel Editor is a joke...A person would be better off with the old freeware CFGEdit... :)

I use the program CFGedit with FS2004 and it seems to work fine for positioning & resizing gauges even though it says it is only compatible with previous versions of FS.
