FSDS to G-max?

Featured Replies

Just wondering if someone could convert 2 FSDS files to G-max for me, if it's possible? If someone can then I'll PM them my e-mail and source file location. Thanks.

Yes, you can convert it with CVA tool:ftp://63.217.28.218/1misc/cva_converter_v10.zipbut it doesn't work very well. Not only you loose texture mapping, animation and hierarchy, you're also loose part names, some parts appear flipped and some are misplaced. Anyway, there's a lot of work to make a model ready to export into FS.Now another related question:Is it possible to export from GMAX to 3DSMax ? Or, say, import .x files into 3DSMax ? I've tried to import directly from FSDS to 3DSMax but it doesn't work - if you export in .dxf format, Max says the file format is illegal, if you export in .obj format, you get all the project as one part - with tens of thousands polygons...

Thanks. But now, what program do I need to convert the file to a G-max? Right now it's a "dxf" file. Not another program?
