You must convert the bitmap to a DXT3 compressed format. Use either Imagetool.exe or DXTBMP.exe for this...

Bill, because of your hint I was able to fix the problem. Actually the original textures are not in DXT3 format but in 32 bit. But using Imagetool as suggested I found out that PSP converts the textures to 24 bit when saving.The strange thing is though, that I have to reload the panel/plane 2 or 3 times (or have to load another panel in between), before the changes I made to the textures are displayed in FS2004. But I can live with this.Thanks again, Wolfgang

Well, you also have the option of saving your revisions directly to 32bit format from PSP, IIRC.Yes, you must flush the cache by changing a/c before texture changes are loaded and displayed. This is annoying, but perfectly normal... ;)
