November 9, 200322 yr Is it possible to move a scenery object to a different location? Specifically, I'd like to use the existing Aircraft Carriers and place one pierside at NAS North Island (San Diego).Robert Best Regards,Robert Kerr 3D Modeler & Texture Artist
November 10, 200322 yr Commercial Member Moving a current object is not possible, but you can exclude and replace the current one. If you only want to use a default object and place it somewhere else that is also possible. The only problem at the moment is that we can't read the new BGL library format yet, so we don't know most GUIDs of the default objects yet. November 10, 200322 yr Author Hello Robert,You'll find the GUIDs of (older/FS2k2) Default objects in the file 'Library Objects.xls' from the BGL-Compiler-SDK.There is a programm called 'BGLPlacer.exe' as well, which allows easy placing of these objects.I think, FS9 only added new objects, but did not drop them (besides the Berlin Wall in pre-1989 sceneries).Look for a thread "Excluding ... buildings' here at AVSim for information about excluding the default objects.Cheers,Edgar
