February 8, 200719 yr Hi rudder:Jon Masterson (ScruffyDuck) has been developing some very interesting utilities for scenery making in FS9 and FSX.Previous versions are avilable at AVSIM here:http://library.avsim.net/search.php?CatID=...&Go=Change+ViewThe new beta and FSX-compatible versions under development are found here:http://www.scruffyduck.co.uk/scenery/beta_releases.htmlJon's Blog regarding the Scenery Maker project is here:http://scruffyduck.wordpress.com/Of particular interest to you will probably be the Library Object Manager(LOM)which reportedly can import all 3000+ FSX scenery objects for viewing (and eventually for placement). You will probably wish to download the example images generously provided by Bryan Wallis; I am not sure whether there is any duplication of the content in the files available from AVSIM at the link above, and the LOM object thumbnail images files available on Scruffy Duck's webpage at:http://www.scruffyduck.co.uk/scenery/lom_downloads.htmlHope this helps! :-) GaryGB
February 8, 200719 yr Commercial Member If you are working with the Deluxe version of FsX, you might also want to try the mission Object Placement tool. You can scroll through all available objects with it. Arno If the world should blow itself up, the last audible voice would be that of an expert saying it can't be done.
