More objects for object placement tool...

Featured Replies

Hey,I've used the object placement tool in FSX to add a few buildings and some static aircraft to a local airport. I would like to add some more static aircraft that are not in the default objects in FSX. I'm looking for some Bell helicopters and some more military and GA aircraft mainly. Is there any way to add objects to be used by the tool? Where would I get them? I'm new to all of this adding scenery objects and I really don't know any more than using the tool that shipped with FSX. Thanks!Brandon

Hi,If you can find any object library that contains tell, they will become available in the tool automatically.I haven't seen many libraries for FsX yet, but if you find some Rwy12 object libraries for Fs2004 they will also work.

what is tell? I'll look for some Runway 12 libraries. I'm also wondering about AI aircraft that I already have from World of AI...can I somehow make those objects that you can place as static aircraft?Brandon

i'm unable to figure out how to add a library to fsx so it is visible in the object placement tool. I've searched the internet for an hour to find that and no luck.Brandon

Hello Brandon,All scenery objects that are used in FS X will appear in the Object Placement Tool. All that must be done is to declare the bgls in the scenery library and they are automatically included.Unfortunately, these objects will not be listed by their "friendly" names, but rather using their GUIDs. You should find them at the top of the list of objects.Best regards.Luis
