May 24, 200224 yr I am quoting below a message posted in another NewsGroup, by Hans-Guenther Schnell: Problem is solved now for FS2002 aircrafts! MS MDL Format SDK gave us the location of the "radius_size" in the .mdl file.(Byte No 28, FS2002 (GMax ) Aircrafts begin with RIFF!) I patched Mike Stones L1011 and A320 mdls and now they go no more to gates which are to small. May 24, 200224 yr Stamatis,That's great news. Any idea on how one would patch the mdl? I assume one would use GMAX for GMAX aircraft?Matt Zagoren Matt Zagoren CPU: i5-750 Mobo: Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 Ram: 8GB DDR3 HD: Hitachi 1 TB Video: Galaxy GTX570 OS: Win 7 64-Bit
May 24, 200224 yr I use a hex editor like fxedit.exe by "software by design"regardsHans-Guenther Schnell
May 24, 200224 yr Author Thanks, that's great news.I certainly wish that we can find it for non-GMAX aircraft. I can tell you that the aircraft I make in FSDS all end up with a radius of 52.5 feet (to the nearest tenth of a foot), which is equal to 16 meters (almost exactly - 16.001), which is 10 hex.Hopefully you hackers can search for 10 and find it!!Hope this helps,-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://members.aol.com/tgfltsim/index.htmlAlcoHauler Locomotive Page: http://members.aol.com/alcohauler/home/alcohaul.htmlFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
May 24, 200224 yr Is there a way for the common man to edit this or dose it require programming skills? I opened up mike stones l1011 mdl and I had no idea what to do. Either way this is very exciting information.JeffDetroit, MI USAGO WINGS!!!(as in NHL, not The Discovery Channel)
May 24, 200224 yr Hi Tom,thanks for your reply,I have got it and it worked for the Pro_MX 2 A380 and a A340 LH:record 16 (10hex) Offset 168 (A8hex) !!!But (there is always a but), the C-17 III has another offset and structure (but the C-17 worked correct anyway)regardsHans-Guenther

June 1, 200224 yr Is it anyway someone can explain a little more? I have UltraEdit32, but have no clue what to actually look for.ThX
June 1, 200224 yr Thats great news....now maybe someone can make a program to assist us "common" people...and we can start to have cargo planes go to where they are supposed to.
June 1, 200224 yr AI Traffic Mover V1.1 allows you to change the radius easily. You can even duplicate your model for that specific aircraft. So othervariations will still use the original model.A public Beta will be available soon.RegardsThomas
June 1, 200224 yr Hello Thomas, will the radius tweaking be usable as a standalone function? Would be great!ckfly
June 1, 200224 yr Nope... It's included in my new Aircraft Editor. So you have to download the complete tool.Thomas
June 1, 200224 yr I downloaded your program and read through most of the information but I don't see anything that refers to how to change this radius size.Could you please explain how it is done?Thank you.
June 1, 200224 yr I was talking about the new V1.1 and not the current V1.0. V1.1 will be available soon as a public beta.Thomas
