How does FS know if it is GA or Airline traffic?

I have not seen this question answered in the forum or in the TT help file so hope someone can clue me in.What criteria does FS use to determine if the aircraft is GA or an Airline? Is is possibly determined by the AC# (a certain range is considered to be GA) or is there some other clue in the flightplan itself?Feedback will be appreciated.
