ATC Voices?

Featured Replies

Has anyone edited or made additions to the ATC Voices in FS2002? I thought that MS has let loose a developer kit for voices.Anyone know?Thanks......Josh

I have not made my own voice packs, but I've been busy editing the current ones. So far I have added the following airline/military callsigns into FS2002:Airlines:05/24/2002 09:17 PM 3,162 AIRLINE_AERO_LLOYD.wav03/26/2002 10:58 PM 2,906 AIRLINE_AIRES.wav03/27/2002 11:36 PM 3,418 AIRLINE_AIR_MIKE.WAV03/24/2002 10:09 PM 3,930 AIRLINE_AIR_NIPPON.WAV03/24/2002 11:13 PM 5,210 AIRLINE_AZTECA.WAV05/23/2002 07:20 PM 4,442 AIRLINE_BRUSSELS_AIR.wav03/27/2002 11:31 PM 3,674 AIRLINE_BUZZ.WAV03/26/2002 10:51 PM 4,698 AIRLINE_CARIB_STAR.wav03/26/2002 11:02 PM 3,674 AIRLINE_CHANNEX.wav05/23/2002 07:17 PM 5,210 AIRLINE_CHINA_NORTHWEST.wav03/26/2002 11:01 PM 2,650 AIRLINE_COPA.wav05/23/2002 07:19 PM 4,186 AIRLINE_CROSSAIR.wav05/24/2002 09:18 PM 3,674 AIRLINE_CYPRUS.wav05/22/2002 10:56 PM 3,930 AIRLINE_DUTCHBIRD.wav05/22/2002 10:57 PM 2,906 AIRLINE_EMIRATES.wav05/22/2002 11:05 PM 4,442 AIRLINE_EUROWINGS.wav03/26/2002 11:06 PM 3,674 AIRLINE_EXEC_JET.wav05/23/2002 07:18 PM 3,418 AIRLINE_FREEDOM_AIR.wav03/27/2002 11:32 PM 3,930 AIRLINE_GO_FLIGHT.WAV03/24/2002 11:12 PM 2,394 AIRLINE_IMPULSE.WAV05/22/2002 10:59 PM 2,906 AIRLINE_IRAN_AIR.wav05/24/2002 09:16 PM 3,674 AIRLINE_JANEX.wav03/26/2002 11:05 PM 1,626 AIRLINE_JAT.wav03/27/2002 11:34 PM 2,906 AIRLINE_JERSEY.WAV03/24/2002 11:11 PM 5,636 AIRLINE_LOT_POLISH.WAV03/24/2002 11:15 PM 3,418 AIRLINE_LUXAIR.WAV03/24/2002 10:10 PM 5,466 AIRLINE_NIPPON_CARGO.WAV05/24/2002 09:17 PM 4,186 AIRLINE_PREMIAIR.wav03/26/2002 10:52 PM 4,954 AIRLINE_SOUTHERN_WINDS.wav03/24/2002 05:48 PM 4,698 AIRLINE_SOUTHWEST.WAV05/22/2002 11:06 PM 1,370 AIRLINE_TAM.wav03/24/2002 11:14 PM 4,442 AIRLINE_TRANSAVIA.WAV03/24/2002 10:15 PM 4,954 AIRLINE_TRANSBRASIL.WAV05/23/2002 07:19 PM 4,186 AIRLINE_TUNISAIR.wav03/24/2002 10:11 PM 3,674 AIRLINE_TURKISH.WAV*Actual callsign/airline may be different since some carriers use obscure callsigns but I have added them into the .WAV. Premiair for example uses VIKING as their callsign, however I left the file named is AIRLINE_PREMIAIR.wav so it can be easily identified without having to memorize every wierd callsign.Military/Misc:03/27/2002 08:48 PM 3,418 AIRLINE_LIFE_GUARD.WAV03/24/2002 05:56 PM 2,906 MILITARY_LIMA.WAV (US Customs c/s)03/24/2002 05:58 PM 3,418 MILITARY_OMAHA.WAV (US Customs c/s)05/23/2002 09:54 PM 2,394 MILITARY_REACH.wav (USAF flights I hear on HF a lot)I have also edited the ambience sounds that AI aircraft (jets) have when they are transmitting. You can hear the engines in the background as how it sounds when I listen to aircraft on my HF and VHF radios. I hope to release these files very soon, I just have a few quirks to fix but it should not take very long.BrandonPS: I have conflicting information on a couple callsigns. They include the following airlines:Turkish AirlinesLOT PolishBrussels AirTunis AirI have noticed several sites listing different callsigns. For example I saw turkish airlines listed as both "Turkair" and "Turkish". Can anyone tell me which one(s) are correct?

Brandon,Can't wait for the release.... I have been looking for / trying to edit in LOT POLISH myself for quite a while but have had only limited success.Darek.

Turkish, I believe is "Turkish" and LOT is "Pollot""Reach" of course are USAF transport aircraft on missions, not just local flying.Joe

Hey thats great Brandon keep us update to on it please.....Does anyone know if anyone is/or has worked on adding additional ATC voices? I am sure that it would be a huge project to change the voice of the ATC so maybe thats why no one has tried it yet.

"Brussels Air" is the correct call sign for Sn brussels airlines

Brandon.....In your file list right after the time stamp is a number in thousands...is this the file size in (K)?If so, is there a way to get those files compressed to like around 100K or better?

Hi,That is just the filesize, all of them are less than 10K :)

Make sure to add "Citrus" Which is what Airtranis really called.Eric

I found out South african airlines is "springbok" and for japanese airlines there are several around from "japair" to "japanese" I wish there was a list of the ultimate calling signs where every developer could use the appropiate call sign.Greetz,Paul

I believe Citrus is included with FS2002. I will double check.I know WestJet is included however they have it under "West". If you put that as the callsign it shows up just fine, and is still called WestJet by ATC.

Hi,I have been referring to this website to get callsigns and other information from:http://aerosite.net/airline.htmThis should also be very handy for those working with AI flight plans, AFCAD, or if you just want to find some good airline logos for doing repaints.

I am an air traffic controller with enroute high level, ocean and domestic experience. Currently at a high density tower with many international flights. I have the "book" that you are looking for provided to me every 56 days for current listings.Turkish Airlines - Turk Hava Yollari - THY - "Turkair"LOT - Polskie Linie Lotnicze - LOT - official "Pollot" commonly said "Lot"Brussels Air - no listing hereTunis Air - Societe Tunisienne De L'Air - TAR - "Tunair"Hope this helps. If you have any more let me know.D Whitton
