Christopher -Thanks for getting back to me on this. I am definitely going for the SanFran 2006 plus version. It's just that I was typing that note I couldn't remember the exact name so I called it the upgrade. It was late. And I read earlier that you were working hard on a new and improved version of SanFran. Thanks! I'll be in line for that too. Thanks for mentioning that you can mirror terrain to have it high resolution all the way. I like that idea. I agree that the outer terrain can be bland. But does that mean that the features such as the grand canyon are gone? That would be a definite drawback. Are there any other drawbacks to doing that?Sorry I hijacked this thread, but admin - move it if you see fit.See you on the ever friendly avsim FU III forum!

Kestrel 2,Please note that SanFran 2006 Plus is an UPGRADE of SanFran 2006. You will need to install SanFran 2006 first !As for the "new and improved" version, that is a misleading term. I am simply expanding certain aspects of SanFran 2006 (like the pylon/substation network), tweaking a few existing packages, and also adding a handful of extra scenery packages. I am also hoping that Jon Point will be able to provide me with a few "tasty morsels" to add to the pack :-)If you DON'T install the outer terrain scenery, then you will only be able to fly within the two high resolution scenery regions. In other words, no Grand Canyon ! However, since it looks nothing like the REAL Grand Canyon, it isn't any great loss (in my humble opinion) ;-)Chris Low.
