June 18, 200817 yr Author The good news first -- I got it right :-)However, I had no success with the batch file or Photo Editor. When I try to paste a larger than 36 MB image into a stock tile in MS Photo Editor I get "out of memory". When I try to open it directly in Photo Editor I get "too many pixels" or something like that. Here's what worked:I opened a stock megatile in Gimp. Then I opened a 24 bit revised megatile in a second window in Gimp. Then I copied the 24 bit version and pasted it into the stock 8 bit version. It took some time before the new image showed -- an 8 bit Seattle palette version of my revised megatile. Then I went "save as" acaj.tga and got a warning that it had to be flattened or merged to be exported. I clicked "OK" and got the second window with the option to uncheck / untick the two boxes pertaining to starting point and color mapping. The new 16 MB images were processed the old way with GenQuadrant and this time the colors were right.I've redone the stock ACAJ and ADAJ tiles Widbey (Coupeville) and Camano Island. The two tiles right above these are almost finished and will be implemented next. These will replace the BIN conversion demo area and provide Oak harbor and the northern part of Camano in all their glory. North of Camanao there are mud flats that may be unsuitable for float planes. We may classify this area as patches of land and water. Here's some screenshots from FLED: overviewhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/189786.jpgdetailshttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/189790.jpgtransition between stock textures and new oneshttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/189789.jpgtransition between stock textures and new oneshttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/189793.jpgI have started out by modifying existing, stock megatiles to get a smooth transition between old and new textures. Besides, Coupeville Nolf ought to look as good as Oak Harbor :-)
