Radar contact on second computer?

Featured Replies

Is it possible to run RC on a second computer networked with WideFS or some other interface? Thanks!David

I'm sure someone with more info will chime in, but I believe that Radar Contact just grabs it's info from fsuipc, so it should work accross WideFS.Luck!P

radar contact version 2.x does not run while fs200x is running. radar contact generates adventures, which are run while fs200x is running

David,You can run the program "advdisplay" from Peter Downson on the second PC using WideFS, here is some info found in the advdisplay readme file,,,AdvDisplay also copies the text into an area which is accessible via FSUIPC. This is at offset 0x3380-0x33FF (i.e. a maximum of 127 characters and a zero terminator: longer messages are truncated). JD,I guess I had forgotten that fact! I haven't used it in awhile, mostly because my old computer had limited resources. I have a new system but I'm still interested in running as many things as possible on the other computer. If I can figure out how to use Peter's addon, as mentioned below, perhaps I can have GameCommander on the second computer. Thanks and looking forward to v3!David
