HiI have just loaded XP and wiped my drive to start fresh. Just asking if I should wait for version 3 and use the inhouse MS ATC or relaod 2.2?CheersKarl

Hi Karl,no question, i would reload 2.2! You get your RegKey within minutes, maybe a few hours from jd. Much more fun with RC!Carsten

Karl,V3 won't be out for a long time. Since you own it, I'd go ahead and reinstall 2.2 and get a new key. Couldn't hurt.

I am in the same boat here. What do you mean 'wont be out for a long time?' I would expect to see version 3 within a few month's since we are now in Q3, is that not true? I think I will wait out the few months.

we have one little feature to finish, and then we will be in heavy testing. no new features added, bugs squashed, web pages, manuals, tutorials, etc. the hard stuff is done.i always have a different perspective than doug on when we'll be ready. usually ends up he's closer to being right than me. long ago i said it would be out in 2002, so that gives me 6 months. it won't be 2 months, it probably won't be 6 months.

Probably would be done in one month, but then Scott comes along and asks things like what happens (or doesn't happen) when you cross the Prome Meridian a couple times. :-lol

>Probably would be done in one month, but then Scott comes >along and asks things like what happens (or doesn't happen) >when you cross the Prome Meridian a couple times. :-lol Or Sidney takes off from a high altitude airport with tower and ground but no departure frequency, and then declares an emergancy and asks to return to the departure airport. Ouch!Sidney Schwartz [KPDX]

I'm comfortable with 6mos, but I bet we beat that. We must remember why we're doing this. Not for $, nor industry and business. Certainly not to "get it out the door by Xmas", like most co's do. Simply, it's to put together the most realistic, solid and reliable ATC for FS possible. That takes time. ATC is timeless. It's not going anywyere, nor is JDTLLC. We have a responsibility to our users. A responsibility!... Q, not C!Doug

Doug, Excellent!!! This is exactly why I love RC so much. :-) Being a beta tester, I am always using a "buggy" version of RC. LOL But, I love the testing and seeing the new ideas put into action. Ver 3 is coming along very nicely and the bugs are getting fewer and fewer. The fact that ver 3 is not based on adventures is a huge plus in itself!!! Full AI everywhere and the most realistic ATC experience imaginable. As good as ver 2.2 is, RC v3 leaves it in the dust!!! Y'all are in for a real treat when ver 3 is released. :-)Best, Rob

http://avsim.com/flightdeck/images/Radar_small.gifBeta tester for http://www.jdtllc.com' target="_blank">Radar Contact] the premier ATC adventure add-on for FS
