the version 3 manual is now 67 pages long. but don't despair, the flight planning section and tutorials will easily push this over 100. ;-)now how can i make reading the manual a pre-requisite for sending each of you a cd? haven't figured that one out yet. :-hmmmthe upside to a larger manual, the web site will be much smaller. rick, doug and i have heard "loud and clear" that you want a manual, not a web site full of information.i think when we get the manual done (:-jumpy), i'll make it available for download, so everyone can get a head start :-)

JD,On my Flight Deck site for ACLoader and a couple panels, I have in big, bold, unfriendly letters: "When you e-mail me questions, the first thing better be: 'I Thoroughly Read The Manual' or I won't answer."Every e-mail I get has it. Then when they ask a question that's in the manual, I tell them "It's in the manual under xxx" and that's it. Works wonders. ;-)

Lookin forward to it.Howard

Hi JD,I'm really looking forward to it! I think I read docs in my sleep sometimes ;-)Speaking of head start, do you think an early separate release of the pilot script is possible? I wouldn't want my colorful metaphors to be out of place when V3 arrives...Cheers,Robert

let me check with scott, aka dr. audioi don't see any reason why we couldn't release the recorder utility and the controller and pilot scripts.it would be your responsibility to edit the wavs (chop dead air off the ends, normalize, etc). i use sound forge to do it, i think that is what scott uses.maybe we can augment the current controllers and pilots with a batch of user-recorded voice sets. i bet hermit would host the voice packages.

Oky doky...>>i bet hermit would host the voice packages. No problem :-)

When I get the new Flight Deck site up, I'll have a section for the RCv3 stuff.Right now I need to make sure I get the pronunciations into the scripts. And trust me, after hearing this stuff 60,000 times (literally), it's required.

This all is sounding better and better.Lobaeux
