October 26, 200223 yr jd, Wish i had a screenshot like that for my flight last nite. Did a MA at KSCK (Stockton, CA) and chose much the same setups as you did. Finally, to test the menu at 4 mile final to 0GA9, i did a Change of Destination to 0GA9 (1,800 miles away!) and went for it. No problems. :-)) (well, i did use a bit of trickery in FSNav to speed up my trip to 0GA9 )Rob

http://avsim.com/flightdeck/images/Radar_small.gifBeta tester for http://www.jdtllc.com' target="_blank">Radar Contact] the premier ATC adventure add-on for FS
October 26, 200223 yr JD, that sounds/looks a lot like my Orlando-Ft. Lauderdale evening a week ago. Began with aborted takeoffs, 2 so I could check options, and then MA's, changes of destination, etc. Tried my best to confuse the controllers, but they weren't having any of that. I kept waiting for the wav file that should be there but isn't: "Hey, just set the $!@# thing down!" Uh, Scott.....? :-)'Course, I didn't save a purty picture like you did.Bob

http://avsim.com/flightdeck/images/Radar_small.gifPart-time Beta Tester of http://www.jdtllc.com' target="_blank">Radar Contact] the premiere ATC adventure add-on for FS
October 27, 200223 yr So as not to make the kiddies all jealous, I'll not discuss some of my flights, including the really cool trans-oceanic ones with the really nice OPC HF chatter and perfect controling and low fuel landing in Fiji because of high headwinds and the perfect vectoring and IAP into Sydney or the emergency once into New Caledonia or anything.I'll not discuss any of that.Let's just say Christmas will be berry berry good to everyone.
October 28, 200223 yr Jeez, guys. All the fun I had (in RC2.2) today was two (yup, two) "Go arounds" out of two. One at KIAH and one at KDSM. I thought those were only 1 in a 100 chance of happening? :'( I had normal approaches (gear and flaps down) as prescribed but still had to do the go around bit. Must have been the weather. Clouds were 600 overcast with rain in Houston and 400 overcast with heavy rain in DSM. :-eek Can't wait to have more fun with v3. Hurry up, won't you!!!!!
October 28, 200223 yr Steve,Even if 10 out of ten times you flip a coin it's heads, the chance of it being heads next time is 50%. ;-)So getting 2 go-arounds in two consecutive flights isn't against the odds. But bad weather doesn't help either. ;-)
October 28, 200223 yr Scott, And if the odds are 1 in 100 twice that makes it 1 in 10,000. No matter, we landed and the passengers got there not toooooo late. ;) I guess the odds do catch up with you, though. I hadn't had a "go around" for a long time. Good practice! Steve
