December 4, 200223 yr Author hey john, hi!!...thanks for jumpin in but ya didnt have to explain really...i understand there are coding reasons why you decided to go the way you did...it must be very difficult to satisfy everyones needs/wants etc and still keep a stable platform in the end result...in fact i can recall "another" atc program released awhile back that tried to make all these different settings/preferences adjustable to the end-user...which was a fantastic idea, however the end result was an application that was so darn complicated that the performance can be described as buggy at best and only did what youd expect it to do maybe 50% of the time....anyway, great job john!...im havin lots of fun with this one for sure!!Dave Dave Kalin Excel Classes Computer Lessons

December 4, 200223 yr Hi, I am happy to read all of your personal findings on the sound of the WAV files. I haven't actually tried V3 yet, still reading the manual, but from industrial experience in digitizing voice do realize that many, many factors are involved in the final analog output. Although I have a 2.5 Ghz P4, so Intel states, to go along with 1GB RDRAM and a high-speed front-side bus, the main concern is how much contiguous time is the processor allowed to process a digital sound file? I fully realize that the determining factors are going to be governed by Billy and his group as well as all the add-ons that are linked on this machine to run along with FS2002. So, for me, evaluating the audio output of the sound files will have to be tempered with a clear understanding of the interaction of all programs on THIS machine which will be different from, let's say, any other machine. As an example: If one listens to classical CD's, which I detest as I'm an analog LP person, one can often hear skips and delays in the meter of the music. Now I'm speaking of expensive CD mechanisms, often running into the 1-2 thoudand dollar range. I think Scott has a good idea in cocantenating a number of the files and then "See How Sammy Runs" on our specific machines.Regards
December 4, 200223 yr Howard,Run RC on a second computer using a lan. Use showtext to display the RC text window in place of ADV display on the 2nd pc. You should then be able to run full screen on your main pc using 3D and still see and use RC off the 2nd pc. RC on the 2nd PC runs so much better it's amazing. The slow talking voices on the main PC, running on the 2nd pc, at times almost talk too fast.Larryhttp://www.jdtllc.com/images/RCbeta.jpg
