December 11, 200223 yr Maybe this is in the manual and I have missed it...I assume that RC3 uses the default airport and frequency data from MSFS. I have come across a few airports such as my own KBHB where most of the frequencies are not what they should be & it adds in a ground and tower freq (the field is has no tower)... I know that I can change it in the settings, but why would this be happening. The default MSFS ATC has the right info so where would it be getting switched and is there a way for me to fix it so I dont have to manually change all of the ones I find?Oh a quick side question. Is it possible to get RC3 to not display the next waypoint info at the top of Advdisp? I understand its use, but when I practice I use the minimum equipment and no GPS so its kind of a cheat for me.
December 11, 200223 yr Douglas,Open RCFrequ.csv in any text editor and look for the airport ICAO codes. Here's Denver International's line:KDEN,Denver Intl,134.02,118.75,129.02,124.3,122.95,0,120.8,128.45The format of the line is:ICAO Code, name, Wx/ATIS, CD, Ground, Tower, UNICOM, (unknown), Approach, DepartureYou can put zeros in any field to remove a freq.

I know that I can change it in the >settings, but why would this be happening. There are certain conditions in which RC will add radio frequencies that are normally not there. With airports that have app but no grnd/twr RC may make up grnd/twr frequencies. JD, can you post the list of what frequencies RC adds under what conditions?>Oh a quick side question. December 11, 200223 yr Thanks for the frequency info I will go play with that. I just did a full re-install of all of my Flight Sim related software and Im suddenly having a problem with Advdisp. Its there, but when I dock it in vanishes for good. I have to go to menu and turn it off and on then try and re-dock. The problem is it vanishes again! Prior to docking it I can see the RC3 text in it so I know its active.I replaced the .dll file to be sure it was not bad, but no luck.Im grounded for a bit till I can solve this problem. [email protected]. RC3 has been working like a top!:)

December 11, 200223 yr Commercial Member i think this is covered somewhere in the manual.if there is a ground controller and no tower controller, rc will make up a tower controllerif there is a tower controller and no ground controller, rc will make up a ground controllerif there is a departure controller, and no approach controller, rc will make up a approach controllerif there is a approach controller, and no departure controller, rc will make up a departure controllerif there is a departure controller, and no clearance, a clearance delivery guy will be made upi think that's it. December 11, 200223 yr Commercial Member check to see if panel.cfg (or something like that), is read-only. make sure you have the latest and greatest advdisp.dllif fs200x is running when some software is installing .dll's into the fs200xmodules directory, the latest and greatest .dll's won't be installed.thanks for the PS :-) JD Read my blog
December 11, 200223 yr Oops! I already edited it. I didnt make any other changes though so I hope all is ok. No matter I still cant get Advdisp to function. Hmmm.
December 12, 200223 yr "check to see if panel.cfg (or something like that), is read-only. "That was the ticket. Since I had reinstalled the aircraft I was using (FSD PIPER CHEYENNE 400) the panel.cfg file had switched no being not read only. Thanks for helping me figure that out.
December 12, 200223 yr I take it back :(. Advdisp is still not behaving. I had it running just fine and it suddenly vanished 20 minutes into a flight and I could not get it back. Also when it goes away some of the coded info destined for the window ends up in a sudenly permanent little green line across the top of the screen.I was using FSD PIPER CHEYENNE 400 and I thought it was related to the aircraft, but the same result occured with the default Baron.Does the Advdisp window have to be over the panel?
December 16, 200223 yr >Does the Advdisp window have to be over the panel? Read The Fine Manual :-)From page 99:"There are two possible reasons the AdvDisp window may not dock. The first is simply that you have not placed it (sufficiently) over a main panel part, and the second is that the PANEL.CFG file for your panel is marked
December 16, 200223 yr ...when users are telling other users to read it. ;-)Maybe I should take a look at it someday. :-lol
December 17, 200223 yr When I get *center* frequencies during the flight, they do not match the real world ones. Is it possible to edit them as well, like the airport ones?Thank you,Luca
