RCv3 vs. FDC

Featured Replies

I have been keeping an eye on the RC and FDC forums to see if there will be a resolution to the software conflict. One of the comments that I noted in both forums is that neither Dave or JD have a copy of each others product (?) I am thinking of getting FDC, however I am nervous now because of the conflict it might have with RC.My suggestion would be that Dave and JD send each other their products, so they can resolve any issues and help a poor soul like me, who are afraid to use the products together.Just a suggestion,Paul

i have beta testers that use fdc. i try to keep my installation as simple as possible, so as not to introduce extraneous bugs that i might trouble shoot as rc bugs.the beta testers are the ones that found that loading fdc AFTER rc fixes their problems.dave has stated that the bug that was discovered will be fixed in a future release of fdc.what specific problem are you concerned about?

Hi JD,>dave has stated that the bug that was discovered will be >fixed in a future release of fdc. Call me blind if you want to ;-), but I've missed this one! Dave's published details of a bug? Can't spot it on the FDC forum... (sorry)Anyway, like some others I found that both running all bits-'n'-bobs in LOW priority (incl. 2k2), AND startinf FDC after RC solved all my problems! And, the speech doesn't seem any slower to me than when RC is run alone in NORMAL or above priorities.Cheers,Paulhttp://www.strontiumdog.plus.com/sbird.jpgOfficially licenced by British Airways plc for use of name and logo
