C421 Golden Eagle GPS problem

Featured Replies

I am having problem with the direct mode in the GPS. I enter the airport and acivate the Direct mode. I see the line toward to airport, but the plane goes to a heading of 360. The autopilot is on, nav function depressed and in the GPS mode. What is wrong?David AlbrightFAA Flight dispatcherSingle and Mult-engine rated pilot500 hours Real PIC2000 hours Sim PICSim Test Pilot

Hi David,Do you have the gpss/hdg switch in gpss mode? You may want to go to our support forum to get any additional questions answered. You can get there from this link:http://www.simforums.com/forumsRegards,Jim Rhoads

Here are the things that need to be set for it to work...1. Waypoint entered in GPS2. Navigation Source Key in GPS set to GPS3. HDG turned on in S-Tec Flight Control System4. Mode Switch on main panel set to GPS (green)5. Autopilot on

Hi Chris,3. Use NAV instead of HDG.

Location: Vleuten, The Netherlands, 17.3dme SPL 108.40 | Simulator: FS2024

NAV is for following FS flightplans,HDG for following the Direct-to setting of the GPS!

Yep. That's the way I understand it as well.
