I am flying at fl180 and atc keeps getting on me to keep speed below 250 and I am past fl100,what could be wrong? Jeffg

Run RC & under "Options" what figure do you have set for "250kt Alt" ?

should be 10000

Speed under options set at 10K and still getting speed calls up to FL240,still can't figure it out. JeffG

Jeff,Just for giggles, try setting it to 0 and see what happnes.

Just a thought:Could your altimeter be that far off that you really are at FL100?

>should be 10000 Just so I'm sure:Trans Lev and Cruise Alt on the Controller Info page are in flight level format, i.e. 100 = 10000 feet, although the tool tips for Cruise Alt (not Cruise Level, mind you) and Arrival Trans Lev show "nnnnn". Right?On the other hand, the 250kt Alt on the Options page is in feet, although the illustration on page 84 of the manual shows "100". Right?You guys sure know how to confuse a simple minded individual like myself :-)

On several flights .. last one KCLE KORDI had speed restriction 250 up to FL380 and cruise.After 18,000 I increased the speed ... ATC came back with reduce to 250!Descending I was told to do 250 or less by 11000 feet (normal).Does not happen but sometimes.

What value do you have set for the "250kt Alt" (General Tab)?

It was set to 18000I now changed it to 10000
