February 19, 200323 yr Hi,I found a solution regarding multiple AFCAD overlays, FSNav and RC. Well, at least it works for me.I create a plan in FSNav, export it to FS2k2, then open it in notepad and manually change all offending names to what they should be. For example, if I fly from KORD with it's 4 overlays, I will change 2ORD to KORD, save the .pln file and load it into RC. And... I can always request my rwy from within RC, so everybody is happy. :)Regards,JureBush Flying Unlimited]"At home in the wild"[/i
February 19, 200323 yr That should work. Now, if you were using the new RAFCAD principle from ProjectAI you wouldn't need to do that. With RAFCAD all aircraft are directed to the proper gates without any overlays. I flew into Houston Sunday (which I had altered using the RAFCAD principle) and was directed to Gate C-30 by FSATC (Yes, FSATC and not RC!) This hobby just gets better 'n better.:-waveSteve
February 19, 200323 yr I'm glad RAFCAD works for you, because it doesn't work at all well for me. I recently spent a week's holiday modifying all the aircraft radii and a lot of UK airports' gate sizes. Then, to see Concorde parked in the GA area at EGLL was the last straw. I re-installed all my AI aircraft (to get the proper radii back) and started making overlays. For me, overlays work so much better than RAFCAD, so that's what I'll stick with. BTW, I've had no problems using overlays with RC.Keith....Wherever you go, there you are...
February 20, 200323 yr I don't think that RAFCAD would use multiple runways for take off. At busy airports (KLAX, EHAM) that is a very nice feature of overlays.greetingsRobert
February 20, 200323 yr You have to modify all of the base parking spaces, also. I believe that GA goes to a 7 meter radius and the Concorde would be somewhere around 39 m. So, a concorde, a 747, or a DC3 would never park in a GA parking spot. I've been working on both St Louis and Houston Intercontinental myself. I should upload a picture of St Louis with all the TWA a/c at Terminal C and Southwest at Terminal E.The multiple runway option is a plus for overlays; however, there are multiple ground frequencies for those arrivals and departures, too. You can modify your airports with AFCAD v1.3.1 so you can have multiple runways in use, also. At least that's what I'm seeing.:-wave Steve
