I should correct you on 1 small item. We did not use the MS default GA flight plans. We created a new set using their SDK and then changed the reg #'s to the correct format for the part of the world the aircraft is flying in. You only get this package if you select to download the base option. Otherwise the installer does not replace your traffic.bgl file. If you select the base option your traffic.bgl file WILL be replaced.

yeah, it's great. I just installed it and I love seeing the A320s going in and out of Sea-Tac. kudos to the project ai team! Also one question: is there a way to make the project AI planes not appear in the select aircraft menu? after all, they're for the ai not for flying. :)

ahh, Ok thanks for the clarification.. Maybe the EXE should be zipped with a README with this sort of info.. ;) FYI: The link to the Delta 767-200 paint is a 0 byte file..

If you edit each aircraft.cfg file and delete(they are at bottom of the ones I looked in);ui_manufacturer=Project AIui_type=Airbus A300ui_variation=VASPAll the "ui_" lines or you can add "//" in front of each line like;//ui_manufacturer=Project AI//ui_type=Airbus A300//ui_variation=VASPAnd that should "REM" them out, then you wouldn't see them in aircraft list..Course in future releases if you dumped a new CFG on top of your edited one they would show back up again.. :-wink2

Thanx alot Bob_D, I was always wondering how to do that... :)

Thanks for all the info gentlemen, and thankyou PAI for this great add-on....

I feel real dumb, but after d/l'ing the entire AI project, installing it, and flying out of Denver and LAX, I see *nothing* -- well, some planes at the terminals (as always) but no air traffic anywhere.I have a 2.4 GZ machine, with 1Gig RAM, and all sliders (including ATC) at max. But still nada. What am I missing here? Is it only effective at certain airports (leaving out Denver and LA)? Or is there some other step I haven't done (it appeared to all compile correctly, opening up a DOS window and doing the traffic compile. And, to reiterate, I selected *everything*, including base and all airlines).

After the DOS recompile is done does a little popup window with 'DONE' in it come up? Did you click on the upper right "X" to close it, believe then install continues after that, thought already forgot what it does next.. :') Perhaps your install got aborted somehow? For laughs whats your ATC slider at?

Yes, that happened -- I thought the process had stopped without finishing, but when I closed the window a DOS process started up and compiled and then it finished (bringing forth an uninstall icon and window). My ATC is at 100% -- maybe I'm not seeing any planes because it's too high ?

DO they have better frames than the default AI planes from FS2002?Thanks,Bill

Bill,Yes they do. I've been following the progress on the PAI site for some time now, and from what I've gathered/heard the PAI models have fewer polys than the MS default AI planes. This was one of the reasons for the creation of Project AI; frame rate friendly AI planes...and more of them with real-world schedules to boot! They're much easier on the computer from what the beta testers have said.(Still waiting to get myself home so that I can get to work on downloading this baby!)"Learn from your parents' mistake...use birth control."(I M A UCLA) BruinAddict *:-*DemetriousAsus A7V266 MBAthlon XP 1600+ (@ 1.53)512MB PC2100 DDRVisionTek Xtasy GeForce4 Ti 4400 (Detonator 29.42 WHQL)NEC MultiSync E1100+ 21"SoundBlaster Live! There are no tex files in the Delta 767-200 folder...anyone else notice this? Thanks,Bill
