April 3, 200323 yr JD,I don't know where to contact you regarding this test, as I haven't heard from anybody on this...I have found a possible problem....While flying from the Los Angeles area to Vancouver, Canada, I came upon a situation whereas both Com 1 and Com 2 were airing the FSATC. I went from Com 1 then to Com 2, no change. I couldn't rid the radio of FSATC, in addition of RC.Is this normal?Paul
April 3, 200323 yr Commercial Member sometimes rc happens upon the same freq the fs atc is using. you can turn down the volume of the fsatc if you want JD Read my blog
April 3, 200323 yr Paul,Make absolutely certain you have Com2 set and "Both" (or "BTH") NOT set on the audio panel. This will eliminate the problem.
April 3, 200323 yr Author Scott,I had Com2 set, however I was still getting FSATC. No matter where the setting was, I was still getting FSATC (?).Paul
April 3, 200323 yr Paul,As JD said, if you have Com2 set to a freq in use by FSATC then you'll hear FSATC. You can turn down the FSATC volume on the main menu/options/settings/sound menu.If the problem is that you are hearing FSATC when you change RC freqenvy, then make sure you have "BTH" off on the autio control panel.http://avsim.com/flightdeck/temp/audiopan.jpg
