April 9, 200323 yr JD,I have noticed that when RC3(latest version) is running I do not get the wind speed/direction readings on my FSFlightMax(latest version) while using ActiveSky WXre(also latest version). If I shut down RC3 the readings come right on. I first noticed this when I had ActiveSky running before I started RC3 and then again when I ended a flight and shut down RC3. Before starting RC3 and after it was shut down I had the readings, but while it was running I had no readings for the entire flight. Also, yesterday I flew VFR without RC3 and had the readings for the entire flight. Is there some setting I need to set in RC3 or FSUIPC that I didn't need before the latest updates? Can you give me a list of the basic settings you recommend for RC3 and FSUIPC.Thanksmaxsdadhttp://jdtllc.com/images/RCsupporter.jpg
April 10, 200323 yr Commercial Member is fsflightmax using advdisp for display? if so, make sure you have the latest advdisp, and make sure the window you want the rc menu to appear in, has the multiline option set.i can't think of any reason why rc would be keeping the wind information from another program. have you asked john h?jd JD Read my blog
April 11, 200323 yr Author JD,FSFlightMax has it's own area where it shows the wind Dir/Spd. It is one of the Data Block items along with TAS, GS, ALT ETC. It is not tied to ADVDISP in any way that I know. FSFlightMax does show the difference between TAS and GS, but the actual Dir/Spd Data block shows 0:0.I haven't asked John because like I said in my post, it works ok until I turn RC3 on, so it doesn't seem to be a FSFlightMax problem. Since you asked, I will post this question there in case someone may have the answer.Just a point. Before the last updates of both FSFlightMax and RC3 I didn't have this problem so I can't really say which update is causing this problem. FSFlightMax, ActiveSky and RC3 were all updated around the same time and I updated them all at the same time. maxsdadhttp://jdtllc.com/images/RCsupporter.jpg
