April 21, 200323 yr Hi, just one question. When I fly in Alaska, namely "PANC" I get no chatter at all for that part of the world. I get the normal RC chatter regarding my flight plan and no random chatter for anywhere in Alaska. Very strange because I get no problems with other parts of the world. Any ideas??Thanks,Tom i913900KF (5.8GHz) | Case: Fractal PopAir RGB I Gigabyte Z790 UD AX| MSI Gaming RTX 4070Ti Super 16GB | Kingston Fury Beast 64GB DDR5 5200Mhz | SOLIDIGM P41 Plus 2TB NVMe M.2 SSD | Samsung SSD 870 EVO 2TB | Thermalright Frozen Notte 240 MM Liquid Cooling | LG EVO 42" Monitor 3840 x 2160 120Hz | Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo | Logitech G Pro pedals | Tobii EyeTracker | 850W Thermaltake 80+ GOLD |
April 21, 200323 yr Commercial Member do you recall what "center" you are talking to? you're talking about the pre-recorded chatter? or the generated chatter?jd JD Read my blog
April 22, 200323 yr Author Yes jd, Anchorage Centre, and I was talking with regard to the random pre-recorded chatter for grd, twr, depart., appr. etc. I just thought maybe flying in Alaska is like flying over water where the chatter is usually at a minimum. Thanks,TS i913900KF (5.8GHz) | Case: Fractal PopAir RGB I Gigabyte Z790 UD AX| MSI Gaming RTX 4070Ti Super 16GB | Kingston Fury Beast 64GB DDR5 5200Mhz | SOLIDIGM P41 Plus 2TB NVMe M.2 SSD | Samsung SSD 870 EVO 2TB | Thermalright Frozen Notte 240 MM Liquid Cooling | LG EVO 42" Monitor 3840 x 2160 120Hz | Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo | Logitech G Pro pedals | Tobii EyeTracker | 850W Thermaltake 80+ GOLD |
April 22, 200323 yr Commercial Member if you are over water, you will get significantly less chatter JD Read my blog
April 22, 200323 yr Author I know there are lots of lakes and rivers and even fjords in Alaska, so I am always flying over some form of water. But maybe the so called canned chatter is not as evident in Alaska as other areas of the USA. I don't know, I just thought there would be more canned chatter here than I am getting, which is.....lol....zero. I know also there are some parts of the world where chatter is not available. Is this one of them? Thanks again,TS i913900KF (5.8GHz) | Case: Fractal PopAir RGB I Gigabyte Z790 UD AX| MSI Gaming RTX 4070Ti Super 16GB | Kingston Fury Beast 64GB DDR5 5200Mhz | SOLIDIGM P41 Plus 2TB NVMe M.2 SSD | Samsung SSD 870 EVO 2TB | Thermalright Frozen Notte 240 MM Liquid Cooling | LG EVO 42" Monitor 3840 x 2160 120Hz | Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo | Logitech G Pro pedals | Tobii EyeTracker | 850W Thermaltake 80+ GOLD |
April 22, 200323 yr Commercial Member there is no canned chatter for alaska, so i generate chatter on the fly.you do have the chatter slider in the middle, right?jd JD Read my blog
April 22, 200323 yr Author Ok, then I do hear airlines and call signs generated, just not the normal high volume continental USA random chatter I'm used to. Even though I have my slider set at 8 (80%)I shouldn't expect it to be too busy in this part of the country. Great! that helped me a lot jd. Thanks for your patience and help with this.Regards,Tom i913900KF (5.8GHz) | Case: Fractal PopAir RGB I Gigabyte Z790 UD AX| MSI Gaming RTX 4070Ti Super 16GB | Kingston Fury Beast 64GB DDR5 5200Mhz | SOLIDIGM P41 Plus 2TB NVMe M.2 SSD | Samsung SSD 870 EVO 2TB | Thermalright Frozen Notte 240 MM Liquid Cooling | LG EVO 42" Monitor 3840 x 2160 120Hz | Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo | Logitech G Pro pedals | Tobii EyeTracker | 850W Thermaltake 80+ GOLD |
April 24, 200323 yr Tom, I leave the chatter slider all the way to max. I like the generated chatter the best. I do some flying for TCA and hear the controllers talking to other TCA aircraft in my area. I won't go into the times I thought a message was for me and changed altitude, only to get busted because the alt change was for another TCA aircraft. :-)) Helps hone the listening skills. ;-)Rob
