When RC leaves radio freq to get weather when landing where does it get weather update from? I can hear FS ATc reporting weather along with RC reporting. But for some reason RC ignores FS runway landing info. How can I change this??Bill M

rc doesn't know what fs is saying about the runways. if you want to use the same runway that fs has chosen, request a runway change in rc.

FS only uses whatever runway MS has coded to be active, where RC uses the following determination of runway. When you are within the arrival airport reporting range (50 or less, or however you have your weather reporting program set), then RC will use the ILS runway, ILS-wind runway if there is more than 1 runway with ILS, or wind-based runway if there is no ILS - all depending on runway length for your ac type.If you are using FS weather, unfortunately you can't get the airport winds until you are there. In all cases, you can request any runway available at an airport.
