Help--->RC3.1 Crashing fs2002

Featured Replies

Using the Captain Sim 727 with RC3.1 update...fs2002 crashes right after pressing the start button in rc (and youre about to go back into the sim)Could this be an advdisp prob?...It also crashes with another plane ive tried but havent tried more than 2 different aircraft. This seems to be related to the advdisp module because it doesnt crash as long as the advdisp is disabled.I dont have it docked eithershould i just go back to 3.0?ThanksDave

its not the plane...this is happening with my other planes too (such as the df737)...i never had a prob till now (after upgrading to version 3.01 of rc and 2.02 of advdisp at same time)...previously i was using 3.0 and 2.01 i believe with no probs)Im not sure if i need to go back to older version of advdisp (of which i only have 1.97 backed up and attainable) or older version of rc nowDave

ok i think i have found the prob...apparently theres a culprit dll file i have installed which was attributed as "read only"...i "unchecked" the read only attribute and im no longer getting the crash now.I have no idea what addon this dll belongs to, maybe someone out here would know?...its called "gps_export.dll"...could this possibly belong to the realityxp gns530?...or the wilco a320 plane?...im not sure if removing the read-only attribute will harm anything so it would be nice to know who this dll belongs to, it doesnt mention anything in the properties.Dave

Dave,I can't help you about who's it is, but there's very little in the file. The data is undoubtedly populated by FS. I would think it's an MS module since I have it. There are numerous files with GPS stuff in them around the directories, so that's my guess - a default FS file.Did you ever backup to CD and restore?
