I'm curious as to how well RC seems to integrate with the AI traffic, especially a lot of traffic like PAI or ultimate traffic. Does RC feel like an addon (eg you have your own personal controller) or does the built in AI cooperate well? When taking off, do you still get calls like you are #5 for takeoff? Similarly, are you ever not number one for landing?Thanks for any info.sg

FS knows nothing about RC. The world air traffic authorities have ponied up the cash and provided you with your very own set of controllers. Lucky you.Actually, you can think MS for never putting out an AI/ATC SDK so there is no way for RC to control AI.

How about the news version COF? Any SDK or is MS going to hog all the add-on interfaces except for their "industry partners" or sneaky hackers that might reverse engineer things.FYI, I just installed the adjustable range EHSI from Reality-XP's JL2 new lineup. While there are some freeware TCAS gauges, this inexpensive combo's EHSI gauge provides AI targest on the map display indicating relative altitude and whether climbing or descending. The target color changes state when the range/altitude gets in the precautionary area and goes paranoia when exceptionally close. They also have a JL 4 set released but in this the EHSI shares the display with a nicely appointed EICAS.By using RC, also listening to FS ATC, and using this gauge I have avoided collisions . . . so far.I am also told that the soon to be released Ultimate Traffic will include some kind of TCAS gauge in the package.Now I know JD does not like the idea of vectoring around enroute AI because he can not control it, but hey, living with MS products ia a compromise anyway so I wish he would reconsider. I did not set it, but the JL gauge also as an advisory mode for vertical avoidance manuevers. Hint, Hint. Now, for our original poster, the new RC version 3.1 to be released will be aware of ground AI traffic as well as approaching traffic when you are holding short. If you are on approach and an AI is sleeping on the runway it will give you a go around option according to the blurbs posted here by those in the know..
