)Problem with RC3 and FSUIPC

Featured Replies

I just purchased and installed FS2004. Also downloaded and installed the latest FSUIPC version(3.03 free version--did not register) and the latest ADVDSP. I already had Radar Contact version 3.1 installed as I was using it with FS2002.When I go to start Radar Contact, I get a message that one or more of the programs I am using is not accredited to work with FSUIPC and to check the FSUIPC log. As a result, Radar Contact does not seem to work.I was under the impression that RC3 would work with the free version.Any suggestions as to what the problem might be.ThanksRoger Hollands

John:Thanks for the reply. I did get version 3.03. Does it have to be registered in order to work??Roger

it will work with rc without registration. it will work with other accredited programs as wellif you want all the fsuipc features, you will have to register itjd

John;Again, thanks for the reply, however I am not sure you are understanding my problem. After installing FSUIPC version 3.03 and the newest ADVDSP, when I try to start RC3, I get an FSUIPC error message that says one of the programs I am running is not accredited to work with FSUIPC. The only programs I am running are FS 2004 and RC3.Why am I getting that message if RC3 runs with the unregistered version of FSUIPC?.Thanks again for any helpRoger

jd,I also have v.3.03, however I get an error messeage stating that I have to register? I'm I missing something?Thank you for your response!Paul

John:I just uninstalled and then reinstalled FS 2004. I then installed the FSUIPC and ADVDSP .dll files into the modules folder. When I compile a flight plan using the FS 2004 flight planner, the flight appears to be found in the My Documents folder under the heading of Flight Simulator files. When I start RC3 and access that plan,I then hit the "Start RC3" button and I get a message saying "IPC contains bad data", but I no longer get the FSUIPC error message. Not sure what to do from here.thanks for any suggestionsRoger

fs 200x has to be running before you click the start rcv3 buttonwhat build of rcv31.exe and fsuipc.dll are you using. edit the fsuipc.log file and port the contents herejd

John:I apologise but I am not sure of the info you requested. I am somewhat new to the flight sim game.If you can describe how I can get you the info, I will try to comply. The version of RC3 is the latest one from your website as is the FSUIPC. They were both downloaded from the RC3 webpage.I do not know how to edit the log file of FSUIPC.If you care to e-mail me instead of using the forums, my e-mail is [email protected] for the inconvenienceRoger
